The scientific journal «State and Law» was founded in 1997 by the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
In 2003, it was registered by the State Committee for Information Policy, Television and Broadcasting of Ukraine. It was re-registered in 2019 by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Since March 17, 2020 the scientific journal “State and law” has granted category “B” (Annex 1 to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 17.03.2020 No 409 "List of printed periodicals included in the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine", more details: https://mon.gov.ua/ua/nauka/nauka/atestaciya-kadriv-vishoyi-kvalifikaciyi/naukovi- fahovi-vidannya).
The journal indexed in the international database of scientific journals Index Copernicus International (Warsaw, Poland).
The main purpose of the journal is to publish the results of the latest scientific studies in legal and political sciences.
The edition covers topical issues of theory and history of state and law, comparative law, public administration, administrative law, constitutional law, international law, civil law, labor law, agricultural law, criminal law, space law and other branches of law.
Problems of modern political science are revealed in the sections on the theory and methodology of political science research, history of political thought, international, comparative and applied political science, political institutions and processes, ethnopolitics, public administration.
The journal publishes reviews of monographs, scientific collections, other publications of legal and political science topics, as well as materials covering the events of scientific life in Ukraine and abroad.
Articles are published in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Periodicity of publication: until 2019 - quarterly, from 2020 - twice a year.
